Samsung Galaxy S8
2017 is going to be the year of innovation in design and innovation. This year we got a lot of cool gadgets coming out. Lets take a look at upcoming smartphones of 2017
With bunch of cool gadgets coming out this year. But, we do have Samsung Galaxy S8 coming out too. This is the first opportunity to recover from the Galaxy S8, in the spring of 2017.
There is not much out about it, but, Samsung has announced that it will include a new digital assistant powered by Viv(Viv was founded by the same people who built Siri.), the artificial intelligence startup Samsung bought earlier this year.
Samsung has been working on bendable displays for years, but 2017 could be the first time we actually see it in a phone. The leaks suggests that it may have 4K display with a screen of 5.1-inch and 5.5-inch sizes, with the codename "Dream" and Dream 2" respectively.
Samsung is getting big push into VR with its Gear VR headset and one thing it really needs to improve is its display. It needs to be sharper. In fact, the company has already shown off a 5.5-inch 2160 x 3840 screen, which comes in at a pin sharp 806 pixels per inch. There's no guarantee the Samsung Galaxy S8 will get this screen, but it's clearly been designed for premium mobile devices.
According to rumours, it may have 4299mAh battery, dual-lens camera, 30MP rear camera and a 8MP front-facing snapper. The camera's aperture is going to be f/1.4, with this extra width more light can come in and the megapixels count could allow detailed images.
Coming to the processor part. It may come with a 3GHz Exynos 8895 processor in some regions and 3.2GHz octa-core Snapdragon 830 chip in the US with 6GB of RAM. The Snapdragon 830 isn't official yet, but it has been rumored and is the likely name for the next major flagship smartphone chip from Qualcomm.
The other features may include an iris scanner, USB Type-C, smart Glow and a mini projector. We could also see an iris scanner as the company has stuck one on the Galaxy Note 7 and the feature has since been rumoured for the Galaxy S8, but its inclusion is not guaranteed, as it doesn't really adds to a "WOW" effect.
The price rumours claim that it will cost around $850. But if its true the Galaxy S8 would be slightly more expensive in most regions than the launch price of Galaxy S7.
